In-Person Worship

We are excited to move into hybrid worship, starting June 6, 2021. We will be worshipping as a community BOTH through in-person worship and over Facebook Live (@christchurchinhanoverpark) at 9:30 am each Sunday! Registration is required to attend in-person worship. We are limiting the number of people in the sanctuary at this point, so we want to make sure we don’t have to turn anyone away at the door when they arrive. Click here to register for in-person worship. Or join us on Facebook Live at 9:30 on Sunday mornings. Bulletin and hymns are e-mailed weekly to those on the mass mailing list. To be added to the list, e-mail pastor@christchurch-hp.org

We invite you to look around and get a feel for our church! If you’re not currently a member of our church, we’d like to take this opportunity to invite you to one of our weekly services.

Our service usually follows a Reformed liturgy, and we sing a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary music. The main language spoken during worship is English, but you may hear words in many different languages as we greet one another, sing hymns, pray for one another, and receive the benediction. It is one of the blessings of having friends and members hail from many different countries besides the mainland United States (among them Brazil, Cameroon, Canada, Ghana, Lebanon, Mexico, Nigeria, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, El Salvador and the United Kingdom)!

We have intentionally made our worship service an intentionally intergenerational space. Children are welcome to stay with us throughout the entire service, no matter their age, but several opportunities are provided to keep them engaged. Our service features a Time with the Children, when children are invited to come forward for an interactive lesson; childcare is provided throughout the sermon for children ages 7 and under; and activity bags are available for children who may need to keep their hands busy while they take in the goodness of worship. The service can also be heard outside the Sanctuary through the speakers, so anyone who may want or need to step outside for a moment can still listen.

In addition, since our Sanctuary uses comfortable chairs instead of wooden pews, chairs can be moved to make space for wheelchairs or other mobility aids if necessary. A ramp is available through the parking lot entrance, as well as a chair-lift to aid entrance into the Sanctuary. We celebrate the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of every month. Christian believers of all ages and Christian denominations are welcome to share in the Sacrament. Gluten free elements (water and gluten free wafers) are available for all who need them. Our regular service lasts for 60-75 minutes.

Feel free to share any comments or questions that might be on your mind by contacting our pastor. We hope that you and your family will have a warm and spirit-filled experience with us as we worship and fellowship together at our services, events, and ministries. We welcome all guests!
